On 5th of December 2011 association Latvian Rural Forum signed a contract No. 1DP/1.5.2.2.2/11/APIA/SIF/001/75 with Society Integration Fund of Latvia about implementation of the project “Strengthening of administrative capacity of association Latvian Rural forum to ensure active and qualitative involvement of non-governmental sector in regional development policy and in the Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia”  in year 2012.

“92,07 % of Project are financed by European Union with mediation by European Social Fund. Sub-Action is administrated byThe State Chancellery in collaboration with Society Integration Fund.”

The main objective of the Project is to ensure professional and qualitative involvement and interest defense of NGOs in an elaboration of action policy of regional development and it’s implementation in a national level. Meanwhile the Project is supposed to ensure more effective participation in meetings of the Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers in defense of self-interest.

The main target group of the Project are Latvian non-governmental organizations which are involved in any sphere of interest defense, interested in an elaboration of National Development Plan and open to interrelated collaboration and developing of responsible decision making culture in Latvia.

Project will be implemented in collaboration with association „Civil Alliance – Latvia” and together with 5 more NGOs, which have signed a contract of copartnership consortium.

Project will be implemented starting from 1st of January 2012 to 31st of December 2012. All activities related to project will take place in Latvia.  

Beside the activities of project administration, project includes several other activities:

–         Participation in activities of copartnership’s consortium, which aim to ensure a collaboration of NGOs of different fields to aid a qualitative involvment in elaboration of National Development programme and planning of uptaking EU structural funds.

–        Organization of regional development work groups to actualize and collect opinions of regional organizations about important questions of particular field.

–     Promote a participation of NGOs in a state administration and in the meetings of the Committee of the Cabinet of Ministers to advance the significance of  NGOs opinion in a decision making of national importance.

Total funding of the Project are 23 585,91 LVL.
